Privacy policy.
We take your privacy seriously — and try to explain things in plain English, not legal jargon.
The short version: We collect what we need to care for you well — nothing more. We protect your health information under HIPAA. We don't sell your data. We use standard website analytics to understand how people find us. If you have questions about your records, call us.

Information we collect
When you visit this website
Our website is a simple static site. We don't run trackers, set marketing cookies, or build profiles on you. Our web host (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used only for security, performance, and diagnostic purposes — not for marketing.
When you contact us through the website
If you call, email, or use our online booking link, we collect the information you provide — your name, contact details, and reason for visit. Online appointment booking is handled by PatientConnect365, which has its own privacy policy.
When you become a patient
As a dental patient, we collect the clinical and administrative information needed to provide care — medical history, treatment records, insurance details, and payment information. This is Protected Health Information (PHI) and is covered under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
How we use your information
- To provide your dental care and coordinate with specialists when needed
- To bill insurance, collect payment, and maintain your account
- To send you appointment reminders and follow-up care information
- To comply with laws and regulations, including dental board reporting requirements
- To improve our website and services (using anonymized, aggregate data)
How we share your information
We share your information only in these circumstances:
- With your consent, such as when we refer you to a specialist
- With your insurance, to process claims and obtain benefit information
- With our service providers, like our practice management system and lab partners, under written agreements that require them to protect your information
- When required by law, such as reporting certain conditions to public health authorities or responding to lawful subpoenas
We do not sell your information. Ever.
Your rights as a patient
Under HIPAA, you have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your health records
- Request corrections to your records
- Receive an accounting of who we've shared your information with
- Request restrictions on how we use or share your information
- File a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been violated
To exercise any of these rights, contact our office. We'll provide a written response within 30 days.
Children's privacy
We treat dental patients of all ages, including children. Health information about minors is protected the same way as any other patient information. Parents and legal guardians generally have the right to access their minor child's records, with limited exceptions required by law.
Security
We use physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your information — encrypted patient records, secure practice management software, access controls, and staff training. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously.
Third-party services
Our website links to or integrates with a few third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- PatientConnect365 — online appointment booking
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security
- Google Maps — embedded maps on our Contact page
- Google Fonts — typography
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, post a notice on our website. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Questions?
If you have questions about this policy or about your information, call us at 610-429-2945 or email eastbradforddental@gmail.com. We're happy to walk through anything that's unclear.
This privacy policy is provided for transparency and general information. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP). A full NPP is available at the office and is provided to every new patient.
